Privacy policy

The site is designed to work without an account, and its location tool does not send your precise coordinates to our application server.

Information you choose to use

City, county, state, and ZIP searches are matched against a directory file in your browser. We do not currently store those search terms in an account or profile.

The near-me tool asks your browser for location only after you press its button. If you approve, distance calculations happen in your browser. Your coordinates are not submitted to our application server or saved in local storage by the tool.

Normal technical logs

Like most hosted websites, our hosting or content-delivery providers may process standard request logs, which can include IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp, referrer, and security events. These logs may be needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

Maps and external services

Pages with maps load an embedded map from OpenStreetMap. When a map loads, your browser contacts that service directly, and it may receive standard connection information such as your IP address and browser headers. Review the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

Links to market websites, Facebook, Google Maps, Pexels, USDA, and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Analytics

We use a site analytics service hosted at stats.kzfm.com to understand aggregate traffic and improve the directory. Its script may process the page URL and title, referring site, screen size, browser language, hostname, and standard connection information such as an IP address. Analytics requests are configured without browser credentials.

We do not use this analytics data for behavioral advertising. The analytics script does not receive form inputs or the precise coordinates used by the near-me tool from our site code. Embedded or linked third-party services may apply their own storage or logging policies.

Children

The directory is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect account information from children.
