About the project
A clearer path to local food.
Local Farmers Market Finder turns a large public directory into pages people can actually use before leaving home.
What we are building
Our directory covers 7,951 farmers market records across the United States and participating territories. It brings together location, reported schedules, products, payment methods, benefit acceptance, contact links, and directions. Nearby and planning tools help translate those records into a trip.
We also publish editorial guides about food access, seasonality, produce handling, U-pick visits, and direct-market shopping. Health, benefit, and economic claims are linked to primary government or university sources.
What we are not
We do not operate, endorse, inspect, or certify the listed markets. We cannot guarantee that a vendor will attend, a crop will be available, or a schedule will survive weather and holiday changes. Official market channels should be your final check.
Why some pages are more complete than others
Source records vary. We show missing information plainly rather than inventing it. Sparse market pages are excluded from search indexing until they contain enough useful detail, while remaining available to people who reach them through the directory.
Corrections
If you manage a market, update the official USDA Local Food Directory listing so the correction can benefit every service that uses the source. For an urgent factual or accessibility issue on this site, email hello@localfarmersmarketfinder.com.
