How distance and privacy work
Your browser supplies coordinates only after you approve its prompt. A local data file is downloaded, then distances are calculated on your device using the Haversine formula. We do not send your coordinates to our server or save them in local storage.
If you display the map, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap to load map tiles; its service may receive normal request information such as your IP address. Directory pins and straight-line distances are approximate. Confirm the address and route before traveling.
